Wake me up

This must be a bad dream. It couldn’t be real.

Bush’s nominee for Surgeon General is a proponent of “conversion” or “reparative” therapy, the quack science of believing that you can (and should) “cure” gay people and make them straight. Never mind that no reputable medical, scientific, or psychological organization supports it, or that all the evidence shows that it is at best ineffective and at worst unethical and harmful. This is the person Bush thinks will be best to oversee the health interests of Americans?

What’s next? A creationist to lead the National Science Foundation? Member of the Flat-Earth Society appointed head of NASA?

EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! You started a blog! I love your writings and your point of view. I’ve learned so much from you and you’ve helped clarify my thinking on issues that don’t, on the surface, really affect me, but they really do. I believe in human rights for ALL people, not just the ‘chosen’ ones who think their way is the only way. That kind of closed-minded thinking really bothers me.

I’ve already bookmarked your blog for future posts.
